725 hp beasts, shelby vs challenger

New shelby ss vs challenger at big willow.

3.10 pulley, k-n cai, magnaflow, 97 cobra cams, intake cams advanced 4 degrees, home ported heads and lower intake manifold, lt headers, canton roadrace pan with baffles, stb, agent 47 sla front suspension, eibach rear 29mm front swaybar, torsen dif, wms a/f , ac427's delrin upper a-arm bushing, rear steer kit. Head cooling mod, lfp h/e and radiator, remote thermostat, but the cooling mod that actually made the car run cooler (while open tracking)was opening up the hood vents 2 additional inches.

That was pretty cool. Sounds like the brakes are the weak point on the Shelby.

It uses Baer Monoblock 6 pistons I believe, should have some good clamping power. Sounded like they were a little hard to modulate however?

I believe it did not have the brake up grades.

Man those cars are heavy. Get those truck wheels/tires off the SS and it will make NHRA lower the ET for stock cars again.

You've been down the track as much as I have. Has 20" wheels knocked anything off your ET? If you're a road track guy, will those tractor trailor wheels help or hurt your lap times? 65-70 lbs off rolling weight at each corner

Aint no way no stock challenger going to hit 11.5 bar

If they made the Z06 or Viper even quicker, they may have to look into it, but again HP dont mean nothing if u cant use it right
